Symptoms of Obesity

There are real symptoms associated with obesity. In spite of the increased risk for chronic disease, there are everyday symptoms that make living an obese life more difficult. Some of these include.

1- Depression

2- Snoring

3- Difficulty Sleeping

4- Pain in back and joints

5- Out of breath with minor exertion

6- Rashes or infections in fat folds

7- Sleepiness and fatigue

8- High Blood Pressure

9- Elevated lipids in blood

10- Insulin resistance

11- Sleep Apnea

These are some of the most common symptoms. Perhaps the most difficult symptom is that of depression. If the person feels worthwhile and happy, it is much easier for them to make lifelong changes to reduce the obesity. With obesity, people are facing emotional challenges along with the diligent effort required to lose weight. For these reasons, effective weight trainers must also focus on self esteem and positive thinking along with specific nutrition and exercise advice.
